Health - Occupational Therapy Sessions

Doctor of Occupational Therapy students from Des Moines University will be leading an engaging session as part of their Health, Wellness, and Productive Aging Intervention course. During this fieldwork experience, students will design and deliver 4 sessions focused on health promotion, disease prevention, illness, and injury prevention, or holistic wellness. Emphasis will be placed on using evidence-based intervention strategies to support productive aging while addressing the unique needs, strengths, and goals of older adults. This hands-on experience will allow students to translate classroom learning into meaningful community-based practice.
