Join us for the Johnston Trash Bash this Earth Day, Wednesday, April 22nd, 2026! We will plant, mulch, and pick up trash around Johnston from 1:00-3:00 p.m. Groups or individuals are invited to register by Sunday, April 19, 2026.
Please meet us at the Terra Park Large Shelter at 1:00 PM. Upon arrival, each participant will fill out their own waiver. Once introductions and instructions are complete, participants will pick up supplies, take a group photo, and receive their assigned group projects or trash pick-up locations. Some groups will need to drive to their assigned destination. Plan to carpool from Terra Park to your project destination and back, as parking may be limited in some areas. Please return ALL borrowed items to the Large Shelter at Terra Park by 3:00 PM.

Waivers will be done digitally on-site by all participants. This is also how we track how many people participated in our reporting to the Des Moines Metro Trash Bash! Please make sure all participants in your group return ALL borrowed items to the shelter by 3:00 PM.
